Okay, so I'm late to the game here, but I FINALLY got to see Equus in London on Monday night. I say finally because that was the THIRD set of tickets we bought. The first pair were given away when our trip was rearranged the first time, and the second pair just went to waste when the trip got rearranged the second time. (They were box office pickup only, and we weren't there to pick them up.) We had one last chance to route ourselves through London on the way home, and I begged and pleaded MDH to let us do it. (He voted for Sydney, Australia, which ordinarily would have been a no-brainer, but I figured this was my last chance. This is before I found out it would be coming to Broadway. But anyway...)

So Monday night we finally got to see it, and we drank many pints beforehand so as not to be reminded of how much we'd actually paid for all of those tickets that we didn't use. MDH is quite understanding, really. I'm a sucker for celebrities onstage, and I've dragged him to see many of them. I made him go see Liam Neeson in The Crucible (and he hates Miller), Ewan McGregor in Guys and Dolls (twice), and Christian Slater in several different things. That particular marketing trick works on me, I have to admit. ;-)

1. New Snupin comm: changingfacades! The focus is on Snupin fics set after the start of the first book. One of these days I'm going to write that darkly romantic Snupin fic that's been stewing in my head over the last year... :-D

2. OMG people are reporting on the opening performance of Equus and it sounds like Dan was awesome!! *flails*

3. slashcast is having a contest to give away two tickets to see Equus. The deadline for submitting an entry was today, but we're going to extend that one week, until February 24. Information on entering HERE.

Um. I think this might be real. Possibly. It's an awfully good manip... amanuensis1, you said not to use the word "naked" if it didn't apply. It applies.

Okay, I can't resist. kerryblaze has the pics posted here, so go take a gander if you haven't already.

I just need to say that I feel really weird about looking at those pictures, because Dan has always been a little kid in my mind, and still is in a lot of ways. His hilarious self-deprecating appearance on Extras aside, I really haven't thought of him as anything other than a kid, but after one look at those pics, yeah. Not a kid anymore. There's OMGscruffiness and nicechest and holyshithappytrail and an apparent tendency towards exhibitionism. Again, 0_0.

I have never really been in the position of thinking naughty thoughts about someone who is literally young enough to be my own child. And it makes me feel a little pervy, I have to say. :-P But still, there is Teh Pretteh to be observed. I like men, and how can I not notice that?

The manips with that second pic are going to be REALLY entertaining, I have to say.
