helenadex for the idea!Why is LJ sending me all these emails reminding me about all the dead comms I mod? They're just noting I'm listed as the owner, and that's it, but since I'm only getting emails about the dead ones, it seems like a nudge that I should DO something about them.
It's embarrassing how many there are, actually. :-P

Edit: 10 dead comms and counting. Yikes! It's like that thing they do on Survivor when they remember all the previous contestants who've already been voted off, and it's all in the past tense as if they're dead.

My 11yo niece is starting to get interested in drawing manga, and she's actually quite good. She's been working from how-to videos on YouTube so far, and I'd love to get her a book on the topic. There are SO many, and I'm not finding Amazon reviews very helpful.
Any recommendations from the artists out there? TIA!

DH is flying home from JFK today, and he just texted that he is sitting a few feet from Hugh Jackman in the airport lounge! I asked what he looked like, and DH texted, "Surprisingly small."
