Yeah, several things are sure to be an embarrassment. No universal healthcare coverage and poor educational system are two others. And to think that equal rights for women have only been in place for 2-3 decades.

LOL that is such win. And the sad thing is, it's so true.

It's weird being a teacher, actually, because even the grade 9s that are in school now don't really remember huge events that impacted my life in a big way, the legalisation of gay marriage in Canada being one of them. They weren't old enough to understand!
