The call for proposals for Azkatraz has been posted HERE. :-D

While Portus and Terminus are fresh in everyone's minds, I want to ask for suggestions and advice about next summer's Azkatraz. As you may or may not know, I'm one of the three people chairing formal programming.

To be honest, I had to think long and hard before accepting the position. Over the last few years I've tried to avoid taking on leadership positions in fandom, because frankly, I didn't want to deal with the wank. And I almost said no to Az because of that, but then I realized it was a silly reason to say no. I love this fandom, and I love going to cons, and what would be cooler than to have the chance to help make Az the best con it could possibly be?

So now I'm asking all of YOU to tell me, as one of the chairs of formal programming, what you would love to see in a con? What's important to you? You don't have to restrict yourself to programming, if you have other ideas. I can't promise that all of your suggestions will be acted on, but I can promise that I will take them to the con planning committee and they will be considered. If you have concerns of any kind, feel free to ask about those as well.

I have just gotten home from Portus, and will make a con report post in the next day or so, but first I have to make a little announcement. (If you have nqdonne friended you may already have seen her post.)

HPEF's 2009 con is AZKATRAZ in SAN FRANCISCO July 18-21, 2009. And the chairs of formal programming are me, nqdonne, and flourish (her post is here), w00t! That's right, programming will be in the hands of three fanfic writers, two of whom are H/D shippers, mwahaha! And did I mention it's going to be in SAN FRANCISCO?

This just may be the gayest HP con EVAR. Dudes, you KNOW you want to come! XD

And to submit awesome panels, roundtables, and workshops. I will be mentioning this quite often in the next six months, and will be contacting many of you to twist arms beg and plead for submissions!
