That's so lovely! (No, I don't consider a book cover much of a spoiler. It's more of a preview.) It's wonderful to see the trio together and by themselves, going off to fulfill...whatever they're going to fulfill!

I don't consider it a spoiler either, at least no more than the previously-released cover art. It's not the same as saying "____ dies on page 428" certainly. ;-)

I do love the fact that the cover features the Trio, though!

I guess I'm the only one, but on the first look, I saw Draco sitting behind Hermione, with the pointy face and the light hairs...*laughs*, wishful thinking. ;) But yes, the dragon with the blond hair and grey(?) eyes, it's possible and I really like to imagine Draco here. :) Although Norbert would be awesome as well.

Hmm I don't think it's Norbert. He's Ridgeback, and I think he'd still be pretty small. Only 7 years old, after all, and dragons take a long time to grow. Looks like it's probably a Chinese Fireball to me.

I think it is absolutely gorgeous. I've loved all the cover art we've seen so far for DH, and although I have speculations of my own, I'm probably completely nuts and so I'm keeping mum in an attempt to not embarrass myself.

But what I loved most of all was the description... ooh. That was great. I know what I'd like that to be after (Harry killing Voldie), but then again, I'm the Eternal Optimist. :)

Is it just me or does it look like Hermione's about to fall off the dragon? Hmmm. I wonder if the dragon would be Norbert but seeing as it doesn't fit the description and all the other history / information on dragons he wouldn't necessarily be that big by now...er..then.

And as much as everyone would love it, I don't think JK would be so cliche as to have Draco be a dragon animagus. I would at least hope not anyhow. Only time will tell. Whee.

Do you think it's possible for a dragon to understand parsel tongue? They are reptiles, it would be so cool to have dragons fighting in the final battle, great big army of them.

I have no idea. But if dragons spoke parseltongue, it seems like that would have come up in book 4. Hmmm.
