That's so lovely! (No, I don't consider a book cover much of a spoiler. It's more of a preview.) It's wonderful to see the trio together and by themselves, going off to fulfill...whatever they're going to fulfill!

I don't consider it a spoiler either, at least no more than the previously-released cover art. It's not the same as saying "____ dies on page 428" certainly. ;-)

I do love the fact that the cover features the Trio, though!

It'd be great if the majority of folk could agree on what constitutes a spoiler. Something like, if you can expect to see it, at its normal size, across the room, in public, and it's not taken out of its context, it's a preview and not a spoiler.

E.g.: The trailer for a film is not a spoiler (at least, most trailer-creators don't select images/scenes that would f**k over the surprises in their films), it's a preview.

The cover of a book is not a spoiler, it's a preview.

The blurb on the inside flap of a book could be a spoiler because you can't see that text across the room (unless someone prints it really large, which would be a violation of "out of its context").

Printing "______ DIES" on a big poster and holding it up is a spoiler, because you took the information out of its context.

(I recognize that some people don't like previews either, but if you're going to go into bookstores, read the newspaper, and watch the television, you're going to be exposed to them so you might as well accept those.)

I agree, absolutely. I have no idea where the line is in general, but I know where it is for me, and it's exactly what you've described above. I gobble up trailers, because I know they won't have any spoilers in them. Heh.

Hmmm . . . I'm not sure! *looks again* I mean, he's got back ridges, but other than that . . . hahah. I don't know if like, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has a detailed description of full grown Ridgebacks? The thing is, Grand Pre doesn't always honor canon completely in her art (re: Snape's facial hair), so I think there's probably no way to know for sure until the book's out. :P

I guess I'm the only one, but on the first look, I saw Draco sitting behind Hermione, with the pointy face and the light hairs...*laughs*, wishful thinking. ;) But yes, the dragon with the blond hair and grey(?) eyes, it's possible and I really like to imagine Draco here. :) Although Norbert would be awesome as well.
