DH art! (spoiler?)
Jun. 8th, 2007 09:49 amThis might be considered a Book 7 spoiler, so don't click if you're avoiding absolutely all spoilers.
As seen on The Today Show this morning and now on The Leaky Cauldron: new cover art for Deathly Hallows (the "deluxe" edition)!!
EDIT: Possible spoilers (speculation, anyway) in comments. Click at your own risk.

Date: 2007-06-08 03:24 pm (UTC)E.g.: The trailer for a film is not a spoiler (at least, most trailer-creators don't select images/scenes that would f**k over the surprises in their films), it's a preview.
The cover of a book is not a spoiler, it's a preview.
The blurb on the inside flap of a book could be a spoiler because you can't see that text across the room (unless someone prints it really large, which would be a violation of "out of its context").
Printing "______ DIES" on a big poster and holding it up is a spoiler, because you took the information out of its context.
(I recognize that some people don't like previews either, but if you're going to go into bookstores, read the newspaper, and watch the television, you're going to be exposed to them so you might as well accept those.)

Date: 2007-06-08 03:42 pm (UTC)it kinda fits the symmetry of the story a bit, dunnit?
dragons in book 1 and 4, now in 7.
i hope it's Norbert!!!!
he can avenge Hagrid's death. or, theorized-by-color death.
actually, that'd be kinda lame
"You may have basilisks and snakes, voldy, but i have draaagonssssss!"
i mean, i've already read Eragon. and it was the sux0rz.

Date: 2007-06-08 04:25 pm (UTC)I guess I'm the only one, but on the first look, I saw Draco sitting behind Hermione, with the pointy face and the light hairs...*laughs*, wishful thinking. ;) But yes, the dragon with the blond hair and grey(?) eyes, it's possible and I really like to imagine Draco here. :) Although Norbert would be awesome as well.
