Majority of Texans, I hate you. You are intolerant, hateful, ignorant bigots. The fact that you hide behind religion and cutesy children's drawings of heterosexual people holding hands does not make it less true.

Date: 2005-11-09 05:39 am (UTC)I usally lurk your journal because I love your writing. I never comment because I'm weird and shy, but anyways things like this get me so riled up. It amazes me that a country who prides itself on being the land of the free can pass laws that just seem mean spirited and restrict the rights of other people. Why do we care what other people do behind closed doors? I don't understand why a country like Spain, with all that Catholic influence,can legalize same sex marriage while our country tries to make it impossible. Being from the Bay Area I have been lucky enough to not have experienced as much ickiness being from a kind of liberal bubble. Hopefully in the future we can reverse all the damage that is being done right now.
