In case you haven't seen this article about the ubiquitousness of slash at TWH, check it out. Specific panels and events are mentioned, including several references to amanuensis1's "Yes, I'm here for the slash" buttons, and one reference to mijan's habit of raising her wand high in the air in panels when she wanted to speak!

I registered for Lumos!!! I have a hotel room reserved!! I'm counting the days! And I had breakfast with my darling friend jedirita this morning and told her all sorts of juicy tales about the con. I think I've convinced her to come to Lumos!

A week ago, I was hanging out with cool people and trying to decide which awesome panels I would go to in the morning. Waah! Where's that damned time turner?

that Snape's interest in Harry could be more than just teacher-student, or, and this is the most shocking, that Harry and archenemy Draco Malfoy could be a viable couple.

Wouldn't Snape's age and overall attitude make his potentional match (especially since it tends to lean toward the abusive side of the spectrum) with Harry more "shocking" than Harry/Draco? Don't get me wrong, I took a brief stint in the Snarry part of fandom but...

It looks like they are going to be moving the date of Con*Strict so it's going back to back. Which is cool. So, I'll register soon and let you know when I do. I think I'll reserve my room now too just to be sure. :)

Oh my god, thank you so much for that article. It's interesting, because about a month ago I went down to a lake near Yosemite, CA with a bunch of my friends, and the girl who was hosting it's mom and I had a long discussion about slash. She was totally into it and was asking all these questions that were ALL answered in the article. Now I can send her that, and it's totally cool because well... she's totally cool about everything. And this is my friend's mother, right?
Haha, anyway, I've had so much fun reading about yours and sherant's and glockgal's time at TWH and now I really want to go to Lumos. I'm not old enough yet but by July I will be, the only difficult thing would be getting my parents to let me go. But basically, you've totally inspired me to get off my ass and maybe try to go to this thing. Thank you, and this has been a sufficiently long comment, sorry for spamming. :0)
