Date: 2004-11-02 09:00 pm (UTC)Portage overall is going for Kerry. They're going mostly Democratic everything, really.
Not surprised. The Portage Democratic headquarters was out of downtown Kent. That place was always bustling.

Date: 2004-11-02 09:29 pm (UTC)In happier news, Nova Scotia is the 6th province/territory to make gay marriages legal.
It's kind of funny reading the coverage up here, since the president of the United States affects us a bit more than the rest of the world, or so we like to pretend. It's been said that it would be harder for Canada and the World to say 'no' to Kerry than it is to Bush. I think because so many of us are pulling for Kerry.
Oh, well. We shall see.

Date: 2004-11-02 10:02 pm (UTC)Sorry, I'm not laughing at you, really. The national anthem thing reminded me that I don't know all the words in one language. Half-way through I have to change to french, because I can't remember the english.
Canada loves EVERYONE!

Heaven forbid that everyone has the same rights./sarcasm

Date: 2004-11-02 10:00 pm (UTC)It's unbelievably weird, I agree (I'm a mix). I grew up in a predominantly 'white' neighbourhood. Things are much more mixed now, but growing up it was...a unique experience.
