Governor McCreevey just resigned. Because he's gay and had an affair with another man. (He was married.)

So if he'd had an affair with a woman, would he be resigning? Just wondering...

You know, I'm glad he resigned -- he was a bad leader. But I am going to defend him to all the people who say this was a distracting polical stunt. All concrete evidence points to this being a sudden decision on his part -- he's just trying to keep the scandal from getting any bigger than he knows it's going to be already. If he were going to resign because of corruption, he would've done it ages ago. I firmly believe that.

Er, no more rants about this, I promise. And I actually think you asked a very good question; you made me think about this from an angle I'd missed because of all the corruption stuff.
