Pottermore, yet again

I'll start talking about something else soon, I swear.

So yesterday I posted about all the issues I had getting in. Well, I never got a confirmation email at all, so today I decided to try again and use another email address, with the hope that I'll be able to change that email later on. This time I got the confirmation email right away, woot! And I feel like I actually earned it this time, which pleases my inner Ravenclaw*.

I am SnitchQueen164, mwahaha. I kinda like it. :-D

*I've thought of myself as a Ravenclaw for 8 years now, but lately I've been questioning it. I'm starting to think I lean a little more towards Hufflepuff. And I don't think it was that I was always a Hufflepuff on the inside and didn't recognize it; I literally think I have changed as a person in the last few years to the extent that I'm more of a Hufflepuff now than a Ravenclaw. o_0

Anyone else have this experience?

That reminds me that one of the stories I've always wanted to write but didn't was one where Hogwarts re-sorts after 4th year. Imagine the House chaos that could have brought on for anyone who had a big personality shift? I just never thought it through any longer than that.

I have always, and still do, feel a strong affinity to Slytherin, but were I not a Slytherin, I believe I would be a Hufflepuff. I'm absolutely not a Gryffindor and I'm not cerebral like the Ravenclaws are.

I am always sorted as a Ravenclaw, but I don't FEEL like one most of the time, and lately I feel even less Ravenclaw. Maybe you are a Ravenpuff.

I've come to think of Hufflepuff as the 'rounded and mellow' house. I think that's what happens as you get older :-)

This fic I spent my entire transpacific flight reading has made me want to be a Hufflepuff. It's given me a whole new perspective on what to admire in that house.

My husband doesn't do the sorting tests, but I've pegged him for a Slytherin, and I think he's rubbing off on me more and more. I wonder sometimes if that might not result in a change of house down the line.

When I was (much) younger I probably was a Gyrffyndor, now I'm feeling a lot more puffly too. I think as I get older the values of loyalty, fairness, and work start to glow and shine in a manner that's more appealing than the flashier qualities of other Houses.

I find the whole sorting thing interesting. I sort of think if people are going to say their house they should actually say what them at 11 would likely be, as that's when you'd be sorted, but people obviously chance massively. I was 100% ravenclaw then, but now I don't know that I'd say I am. marksykins resorting idea is awesome, I'd love to see what you could do with it.

At DiaCon Alley a few weeks ago I was talking to a guy quite new to fandom who said he was trying to see if Slytherin's really were dicks, but most of those he had met were lovely and I pointed out most fandomers who identify Slytherin it's more about them wanting to sleep with Slytherins then that being their house personality-wise :p

I think I was a lot more Gryffindor as a kid. If I had been sorted at 11, that is probably the house the hat would have put me in. I like to think if that were true, exposure to other Gryffindors would have kept me that way. Unfortunately most of my experience has been with Slytherins and I'm more like them now.

Somewhat. I've always thrown my lot in with Slytherin, always using the justification that I always know just how to manipulate people (even though I never do). But I've started thinking recently that I'm actually a Gryffindor...it's uncomfortable. I have all my HP gear in Slytherin, and I like being a Slytherin. I'm not really sure what to do :/
