Some radio station in Alberta, Canada is having a contest called "Breast Summer Ever", in which they're giving away a boob job to the candidate with the most votes. Yeah, I know. BUT. BUT!!

One of the finalists is a transwoman named Avery. She's gotten a strong following online and made it to the finals, and has a serious chance of winning this contest. This surgery could literally change her life. She has an awesome video on the site explaining why having breasts would mean so much to her.

GO VOTE FOR AVERY!!! Voting is open until July 17. I can't tell if multiple votes count or not, but who knows?

ha! it's entering! Good catch. not seeing anything on voting, actually, but my contests have rules about voting, too.

However, the rules do say this:

All winners of any prize with a retail value in excess of $500.00 will be required to answer a mathematical skill testing question. To be declared a winner the Participant must correctly answer the following multi-step mathematical question:

Step 1: 103 + 618 =
Step 2: Take the answer from Step 1 x 7 =
Step 3: Take the answer from Step 2 – 515 =
Step 4: Take the answer from Step 3 ÷ 44 =

It's the law in Canada. You have to be able to answer a mathematical question to win prizes because that way you're being rewarded for a skill. They do it everywhere but Quebec (where most people just don't allow contest entries because the law is too confusing)

It's just a bureaucratic thing - you need a license from the lottery commission to operate a lottery, but if there is skill and not just pure chance involved, then it's not a lottery. :-)

thanks for the link. i watched at least a bit of the other women's vids because i was curious why they would feel the need to enter such a contest, most of them made me want to sit those women down and have a talk with them about self image :P
