They are heroes of the highest order. One can only hope to god that they succeed.

Yeah. Just...yeah.

& all the rest of it: 14,000+ confirmed dead, half a million homeless & 800,000+ without power in freezing temps.

I was just talking to the husband about it. I really admire them and wish the best things for them and their families.
My heart goes out to them.

These people are heroes, but their work is made a lot harder by the fact that they are doing this all alone. No back up from people in locations far enough away to organise the necessary electricity supply and what not, that would have made their work so much easier. The fact that these people are in there fighting all alone does the Japanese authorities no credit what so ever.

The whole situation is so shocking I think most people are struggling to find anything to say.

I wish they'd release the names of the workers because I think the international community would like to send aid specifically to their families as the miserable best we can do by way of gratitude.

My god. That's a beautiful act of bravery on their part, but so horrific at the same time. I want to know all their names.

Humans are amazing.

I cannot even imagine. Those people walking in there are just...that's unimaginably brave.

Oh, I am crying at this. I suspected all these reports about "workers are working on it" were leaving out crucial info thx about the danger those workers were in. I'm kind of glad someone is finally saying what's really going on there, how much those people are sacrificing for everyone else. :(

That's just...wow. That's true bravery right there if they can accept things as they are.

I'm so awed that in times of disaster, mankind can outgrow itself. No words indeed, for the bravery and solidarity of these people.

At a time when it seems the entire world is so self-absorbed and selfish, it's both heart-warming and heart-wrenching to learn that there are still heroes out there, willing to sacrifice themselves for the greater good. God bless them.
