Star Trek recs

I've been reading lots of ST fic, which is harder than it sounds as I'm currently a SAHM and DH is out of town -- so 24/7 toddler chasing. BG is sleeping now, which means I have a chance to make this post. Yay!

I thought I'd be all about the Kirk/Spock, and I am, but I am also all about the Kirk/McCoy, much to my surprise. I haven't yet had a chance to read Sulu/Chekov or Kirk/Spock/Uhura, both of which I'm really excited about. Something else I'm loving is that so many of the people I see writing these fics are familiar to me from other fandoms, as far back as my years in Star Wars. It's so cool to read their work again, you know?

These fics are the best of the ones I've read, and they all hit my personal happy buttons of guys acting like guys, great characterization, and realistic sex. Judging by the number of comments on each, lots of people have already read them, but I'll add my kudos to the pile.

Barely Perceptible Green by woebetidesweets, Kirk/Spock, NC-17. Short, hot PWP. Perfect Spock POV.

A Moment of Our Silence by keelywolfe, Kirk/Spock, NC-17. Glorious H/C sex, set right after the movie ends.

We Learn Each Other Slowly by raphaela667, Kirk/Spock, R. Twisty relationship stuff, great dialogue.

Awake by the_dala, Kirk/McCoy, NC-17. OMG, drunk buddy-sex is SO hot!

I'm Just A Jealous Guy by londondrowning, Kirk/McCoy, PG-13 (but don't let that deter you). Great relationship dynamics, and still manages to be incredibly hot.

Four Times Jim Kirk and Lenore McCoy Didn't Fuck (and the One Time They Did) by telesilla, Kirk/female!McCoy, NC-17. I never liked genderfuckery until this fandom, but I'm reading a lot of it lately, and liking it. This is one of the best: hot, funny, sharp, pretty much perfect.

I'm reading whenever I can, which is usually when BG is asleep. I'm also working my way through the novelization of the film, one chapter at a time. I can hardly remember what it was like to have hours at a time to read and write fic! :-P
