If you had to recommend five HP fanfic writers who are currently in the fandom, writers whose work is not to be missed, who would you recommend?

Well, it depends on what pairings you're interested in, but I'd recommend rinsbane, pir8fancier, geoviki, femmequixotic, and furiosity. Although it's hard to leave out amanuensis1. Okay, so that was six. That's the best I can do. ;-)

Honestly, I didn't do much checking to make sure these writers are still active, but during a phase this summer of particularly voracious reading, I plenty of good fic, but these are the authors whose fics most stuck with me.

well, i only read h/d [okay, also r/s but i've mostly read fics by people who no longer write in hp], so for that pairing, i'd say annafugazzi, empathic_siren, and rurounihime. those are the first three names that popped into my head. also, silentauror.
