Second, this link has been going around, so I'll pass it on too. The Traditional Values Coalition has a series of polls on their website concerning gay rights. You can start with this one about gay marriage. After you vote, you'll be taken to the results page. On the right hand side is a list of other polls. If you click on one, and then click on "voting booth" when it opens up, you can vote in those as well.

Sticking it to conservative groups is such a wonderful use of the internet, isn't it?

Yep, I've voted on that one, too. Ugh. The idea that other people feel superior enough to decide for someone else who they *should* love...it's just SICKENING.

I so agree. It's been wonderful. I felt like a silent supporter for so long, not wanting the "well, I'm not going to get into it with her" silent looks that other people around me would do, I simply said nothing or stated it quietly and then moved on.

Now I can rant and bitch and others are here who agree. It's fabulous!

I heard a comedian make a fantastic comment the other day. He said conservative groups say they don't want to allow gay couples to adopt children because they worry gay families would be a "breeding ground for homosexuality." He paused, and then he said, "Don't these people understand biology? Heterosexual families are the breeding ground for homosexuality!"
