H/D recs!

I'm reccing this week over at serpentinelion, and I've decided to rec with a theme in mind. My goal is to look at how the H/D ship has changed over the last five years by presenting a sample of my favorite one-shot fics. I'll be posting a rec every day for the next six days.

It's funny how hard it is to find fics from five years ago. Some links are broken, and in some cases I can only remember what the fic was sort of about -- or the one I thought was a great read several years ago seems not so good now. :-P

What a cool idea! I've been delving back into the fandom, reading old fics, and it is amazing how well some have held up, how some writers have changed and improved drastically, and, strange thing, how many wrote stories years ago that actually nailed some theories on the head. A little creepy, that is.

It is weird, isn't it? It's also interesting how some fics read really differently years later, with new canon in mind. :-)

I won't be able to say anything about what happens tomorrow for a while, but if it all goes as I hope, I'll definitely be posting about it eventually. ;-)
