Spring Awakening videos

emmagrant01There's a lot of interesting video of SA-related stuff out there, and I'm making a post of links, mostly for my own reference. The list got so long that I ended up putting it all behind a cut, heh. But seriously, if you're curious about the show, check them out. Slashers, there are a few of these you REALLY need to see. Trust me. ;-)
Bootleg show clips: Watch them before they get pulled from YouTube!
• "My Junk", including the masturbation scene! (Lauren Pritchard seems not to have been performing this night.)
• "Totally Fucked"
• This is a clip from the off-Broadway production of the cast singing "Totally Fucked". The staging is a little different than the current version, so it's interesting to compare them.
• "Don't Do Sadness/Spring and Summer"
• "Don't Do Sadness/Spring and Summer" with Phoebe Strole playing Ilse.
• "Word of Your Body" reprise with the adorable kiss between Hanschen and Ernst.
• "Those You've Known" (from the off-Broadway production). Contains a major SPOILER!!! But it's different from the Broadway version, which is interesting.
Promotional videos, interviews, etc.
• The "Bitch of Living" music video is pretty good. It doesn't have the energy of the live performance, but it includes some other scenes from the show, which is nice.
• Now here's a clip of a live performance of the same song from when they were on David Letterman, and the difference in energy is pretty amazing.
• In this clip, the cast performs "Touch Me" on The View, and even though they're just standing still, you get a sense of the energy of it. My favorite part of this is when John Gallagher and Jonathan Groff start singing to each other. ;-)
• This is a clip from the Drama Desk Award of the girls singing "Mama Who Bore Me".
• John Gallagher and Lauren Pritchard sing "Spring and Summer/Don't Do Sadness" on Regis & Kelly.
• This one features the cast singing "Purple Summer" on a TV show. They're a little off-key here and there, but it's still gorgeous -- one of my favorite songs from the show.
• This is a clip from Today about the show and has snippets from the show and interviews with cast members and creators. And wow, when did Tom Hulce get so old?

carnimiriel pointed me to this one, a Q&A session modded by Rosie O'Donnell with the casts of SA and the TV show DeGrassi. It's all about teen issues addressed in both shows. LINK: http://teens.aol.com/teen-issues/show-introduction
• Jonathan Groff (who plays Melchior) is just precious in this behind-the-scenes clip from Broadway.com. He takes cameras around backstage before the show and talks to all the actors, and it's the most adorable thing. One of the most hilarious thing in it is that one of the actors (Jonathan B. Wright, who plays Hanschen) was given a drawing of his character by a fangirl, and the cast decided to make copies of it and have a cast and crew coloring contest.
