In case anyone in the Austin area missed it, we're having a slash get-together on March 17, which involves hanging out at my house and watching gay-themed movies, and possible drunken karaoke. ;-) Info here.

Incidentally, I just did a search on Swedish LJ users who list "slash" as an interest, and found 387 (http://www.livejournal.com/directory.bml?loc_cn=SE&loc_st=&loc_ci=&ut_days=&age_min=&age_max=&int_like=slash&fr_user=&fro_user=&opt_format=pics&opt_sort=ut&opt_pagesize=100). :-)

Unfortunatly am in Chciago and unable to get there in time, but, just out of curiosity, what gay themed movies will you be watching, cause I am always up for a new one?

This is the third one of these we've done and every time we've watched different stuff. The first time we watched British and UK QAF, the movie where Leo and David Thewlis play lovers (OMG so Draco/Remus), and a little of The Buddha of Suburbia, with features Naveen Andrews (of Lost) as a gay British teen growing up in the 70s. At the second one we watched Velvet Goldmine (Ewan/JRM!), Sex, Politics and Cocktails, and I think the first couple of episodes of the British QAF again.

This time we'll probably watch Another Gay Movie, and then will choose from the rather large collection of gay cinema I'm amassing. I'm not sure I want to subject anyone to the horrible Dante's Cove unless we're all pretty drunk first. I also got The Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Greene recently, which is fun. I have about 18 movies to pick from (not including all the seasons of QAF), so we'll see what people want to watch. :-D

Damn, this makes me so effing jealous! I'm up in Wisconsin freezing my ass off, and it's probably in the 70's down in Austin right now, eh? I went to uni in San Marcos and miss floating down the river, pretending to study but really fantasizing about the hot guys I was going to scam on while strolling down 6th st. with the girls. I want to go to your slash party! Ahhhhh! Well, maybe next time. Take pics of everyone that comes, and maybe I'll come down next time I visit family in Ft. Worth.
