There was an incredibly gorgeous piece of Obi/Bail fan art posted on jedi__santa this morning. (NOT WORK SAFE!!)

It just captures so much of what I love about that pairing, that whole "The Prince and the Padawan" dynamic. lauramcewan, you are a lucky woman!

And on a totally different fandom note: Alan Rickman Joins Sweeney Todd Film: Alan Rickman will play Judge Turpin in the cast of the film adaptation of the Stephen Sondheim musical Sweeney Todd, the actor’s representation has confirmed. Tim Burton will direct the film, which stars Johnny Depp as Sweeney and Helena Bonham Carter as Mrs. Lovett. Sacha Baron Cohen plays the supporting role of Signor Adolfo Pirelli.

And even more important, are Depp and Carter even old enough for the parts? Even if they are, they look remarkably young for their ages anyway.

Excuse me while I don my skeptic's hat. I love the actors chosen, and I love the musical, but other than Alan Rickman as Judge Turpin, I'm a little leery about the twain meeting.

SWEENY TODD!! OMG. *squees* I love Sweeny Todd. I own the soundtrack and listen to it often. I go to see it whenever I notice it is playing locally. But with Alan Rickman AND Johnny Depp and Helena Boham Carter! OMG.

Do they all sing? Is it still going to be a musical?

But they hate each other! It's so kinky with the barber chair and the knives and the touching, and the closeness and the "love" triangle and hints of incest and everything. So slashable! Hatesex heaven! Not to mention the yum factor of Johnny Depp and Alan Rickman... :-D
