This, by [livejournal.com profile] doved and gacked from [livejournal.com profile] nimori is great! Hey, who hasn't wondered if JKR got the plot for the first HP book from Star Wars (Ep. 4)? See, that's exactly why I firmly believe Ron/Hermione is just... destined.

*sticks tongue out at Harry/Ron 'shippers*

Ron/Hermione? Bah. I know I'll get hit with rotten vegetables for this, but I've always been really, really a Harry/Hermione shipper. ::ducks incoming volley::

I know, I don't do my slash roots justice. But, what can you do? ;)

WTF?

hehe. I love your Icon.

And, how can you boggle that? Jeez. They totally belong together. The pure blood and the mud blood? It's a match made in heaven. Plus, Harry's natural talent and Hermione's intelligence.

Plus, Ginny needs to be there to "comfort" Hermione from time to time, she might get squicked if she was comforting her brother's wife. ;)

They totally belong together.

I'm sorry, but no. Harry has shown no indication whatsoever of being interested in Hermione, nor has she for him. She and Ron, OTOH, totally have this Han/Leia thing going on, while Harry's clearly a third wheel, just like Luke.

And don't get me started on the reasons why I think Harry's gay.

*grins*

I don't disagree that Hermione and Ginny might do some experimenting, though. But if Hermione's going to wind up with a boy, it has to be Ron. Or Neville. Or even Charlie or Bill Weasley. But not Harry. Or Draco.

And of course, both SW and HP myths also go along with the King Arthur legend, etc. It's actually a pretty classic story. No stories are truly original, anyway. We just keep retelling the same great thing over and over again.

Remember the greatest fanfic writer of all time: William Shakespeare. Almost none of his stories were original.

Yes, it's true, isn't it? Can there be any truly original stories, do ya think? Or are they all just variations on the same Jungian themes we all find irresistable?
