You know? I think it's funny as hell.
Thanks to
moony for pointing to the YouTube link. ;-)
Not exactly worksafe. Though it being Friday/Saturday, that's probably okay for most of you. Heh.

Date: 2006-09-10 03:09 am (UTC)I think it's one of those things where you're either a History and English person or a Math or Science person. :-)

Date: 2006-09-10 03:21 am (UTC)The thing is, math and science as they are taught in school have very little to do with the way the fields are in reality. People who are good at math in school are very often not so good at it in college, because they think it's about being able to memorize lots of procedures or get a nmerical answer quickly. It actually takes quite a lot of creativity and ability to analyze a wide variety of situations to really be good at math. People who were good in English, good at writing and analyzing literature and putting themes together, have an aptitude for math that they just haven't had a chance to explore. That was true for me, and it's true for many people I know.
And with that, I'm putting my soapbox away, because I'm sure that's far more than anyone wanted to hear...
