Three things on Saturday afternoon

1. slashcast episode 5 is now available for download. Wow, five episodes! The learning curve was steep, but we're getting better every show. We have a new segment called Fandom Opinion, and we're looking for people to be part of it. Go here for more information.

2. Last night we watched the director's commentary of Dazed and Confused, and OMG how did I not know until now that the intellectual geeky blond guy was played by Anthony Rapp??? He's so adorable, especially in the special features when he's talking about his character!

3. Flicker was nominated for a Multifaceted Fanfic Award! That makes me really happy, because it's a fic I'm quite proud of. It's Remus/Draco, not such a popular pairing, and it's never gotten as much attention as a lot of the H/D stuff I've written, but it's a really special fic for me. SO a HUGE thanks to whoever nominated it!

I love finding Anthony Rapp (or any broadway people, really) in other things. He was in 28 Days Later with Sandra Bullock...and then Adam Pascal in School of Rock.

Now, in response to the wank fandom opinion:

I can't help but be reminded of petty high school he said/she-said shit. It really shows some people's immaturity. Now, I understand that it is hard for some people to allow comments against them to roll off their back, (not me, I once had a review that was two pages of the detailed ways of how I suck) but for so many other people to get involved? It's just silly.

Like you said Emma, it doesn't accomplish much to hurt other people's feelings, or to let some tactless asshole get under your skin.
