Gacked from loony_moony (who got it from anniesj): Video clip showing a Fox News anchor losing all pretense of being objective when interviewing a crazy homophobe. I've never been a fan of Fox, but it's nice to know that some people out there are so insane that we can all agree.

I love this women even if she did totally lose it and give the creepy lady too much attention. Oh and please don't send her to us if she leaves the country. We have enough crazies in Canada as it is with all the trying to behead the prime minister and all. :)

They first started popping up in the news last winter, and it was hard to believe it wasn't a joke. Still, they picked the wrong people to harrass, I think. Cause when Fox News calls you a homophobe, you know you're out there. :-P

Oh God! LMAO I'm in the wrong country! Never has news been so interesting and uncensored - I think I watched the whole thing with my mouth open and about half the time I was holding my breath.

My roommate showed that to me, it's so awesome! I mean generally I'm not a far of that kind of thing because news anchors should really be objective and not let their personal view effect their interviews, but that woman is insane and needed to be told so. I loved the comment about, "Thank god you're not the leader of a REAL church." It was totally awesome.

As someone who grew up in the same corner of the state as the Phelps', I would just like to thank you for sharing that with me. It feels pretty pointless to try to fight them most of the time, and this reporter prooved that that with style. But it sure was nice to see someone let off some steam on them.

so is FOX NEWS up in arms over this woman's group's ANTI-MILITARY stance or ANTI-GAY stance? Because I didn't think FOX NEWS allowed anyone to hold pro-gay sentiments on air unless it was a guest that they'd try next to 'bring them down a peg or three'. I know the church lady's rant veered to the gay side, and that her group alleged that the soldier was gay (which the reporter was basically saying was slander and lies as if being gay needed to be defended).

I mean, i love it when FOX NEWS hates on a group of folks that I despise, but... i mean... it's still FOX NEWS.

Maybe I'm confused as to what the main issue was and why FOX NEWS was so upset. Are we just excited because Julie Banderas gave someone a proper thrashing? Or is this a slight shift in FOX NEWS' stance on gay issues in America? Or am I just confused about the issue?

There's so much yelling that it's a bit confusing. I'm not sure when this video was filmed, but that group was really active last winter. They basically believe that God is punishing the US for being so tolerant of homosexuality, via the war in Iraq. For some bizarre reason, they decided to use military funerals as a protest point.

So basically, they go to the funerals of soldiers who died in Iraq and hold up signs that say "God hates fags". They do this whether the deceased person was gay or not. They believe that supporting the war in Iraq or supporting the military in any way is pro-gay.

Of course, the right holds the funerals of fallen soldiers absolutely sacred, and anyone using those as a platform for anything even remotely negative will get labeled as a crazy. So I think it's funny that this issue essentially made gay-haters look like nutcases to those on the right. The fact that they chose to alienate themselves from the people who were most likely to agree with them is practically a gift from god, IMO.

So that's what is funny here -- they're so right wing crazy that even Fox News is telling them they're crazy! I just get a kick out of seeing the right split from within like that.

Oh goodness! That was priceless! I also LOVE that it happened on FOX news, which is known for its conservatism... like you said, it just goes to show you that hatred like that comes across as Capital-C Crazy no matter where you're standing on the political spectrum.

I love that even yelling, the reporter made sense, but the Crazy Lady just got crazier and crazier.

OMG that Phelps woman was beyond scary. And it does seem that Fox News was supporting gays, which cracks me up because Fox is to the right of right! I am sorry that the anchorwoman lost her cool; if she had stayed somewhat calm she probably could have really ripped that insane bitch to shreds. I hope the Synders case wins and takes all the money that is bankrolling these lunatics.
