That was really fun! I now have an account at Liberated Syndication, because I think I'm going to do more of these. :-)

Date: 2006-02-12 05:19 am (UTC)Quite possibly the best thing ever.
There's just something about hearing a story read aloud that makes it so much better - and your Draco-voice was effing BRILLIANT.

Date: 2006-02-12 09:44 am (UTC)The fic is great, and to hear you read it out loud, brilliant. You have a very pleasant voice to listen to, and I loved how you emphasised certain words. Though I have to admit, I had pictured your voice totally different. Not that I spend my days thinking how people sound but somehow I expected your voice to be more.. husky. Apparently I have this weird thing in my head that all pron writers should sound like call-girls... :P
Next LMH, right? ;)

Date: 2006-02-12 04:03 pm (UTC)I practiced a few times and recorded a few different versions. On the first recording, I stumbled a few times, and on the second, I tried (and failed) to do accents. The third one was pretty good, I thought. ;-)
Where is *your* Texan accent?
LOL! I grew up in the Appalachains, and so I had a pretty thick accent as a child. When I was a teemager I was very involved in community theatre and school music and drama, and through that I learned how to speak with a more standard accent. It was something I worked really hard at because at the time, I wanted to be an actress. I went to college on the west coast and lived there for several years, so that helped me lose the accent completely. I've only lived in Texas for a few years and I live in a city, so I don't come in contact with people with thick accents very often. "Y'all" has creeped back into my vocabulary, but the only time I really get my southern twang back is when I visit my family!
Okay, that was probably more than you wanted to know, huh? :-P
