That was really fun! I now have an account at Liberated Syndication, because I think I'm going to do more of these. :-)

Love, love, love this!
I laughed out loud when the mirror said, "beard."

We need more of these little gems. Thanks, Emma!

I'll take this opportunity to come out of lurkdom and say hello, because that was fantastic. I enjoyed the original story, but your reading really worked well with it. (You have a wonderful reading voice, by the way!) Have you decided which story you'll read next?

Thank you so much! I had fun recording it, and I'm excited to do another one. I'm not sure which one to do next, actually. Must think about that...

LOL, thank you! It's always weird to hear yourself. I tried to do accents at first, and that was just bad on so many levels... :-P

...

Quite possibly the best thing ever.

There's just something about hearing a story read aloud that makes it so much better - and your Draco-voice was effing BRILLIANT.

That was so much fun! I loved that story when I first read it, but there's just something about hearing you read it that makes it even better. Thanks for this. Can't wait to see what else you'll do.

OMG, that was hilarious :D

The fic is great, and to hear you read it out loud, brilliant. You have a very pleasant voice to listen to, and I loved how you emphasised certain words. Though I have to admit, I had pictured your voice totally different. Not that I spend my days thinking how people sound but somehow I expected your voice to be more.. husky. Apparently I have this weird thing in my head that all pron writers should sound like call-girls... :P

Next LMH, right? ;)

My voice always sounds higher to me when I listen to it than it does in my head. Telephone sex operators must go through special training to make their voices sound so sexy! ;-)

That was brilliant! What a pleasure to hear you read your work . . . especially for those of us who missed our chance at TWH! (You did read there, right?)

Thank you so much!

No, I didn't read at TWH. Actually, I'm not sure how people got to read their fic there. Do you know?

I have no idea. I didn't pay much attention to the registration details, call for papers, etc. because I knew I wasn't going to be able to attend.

I think I remember [livejournal.com profile] mijan mentioning that she was hoping to read the epilogue to Eclipse at the TWH. Maybe she'd know more?

I love it! That was great. Accents would be hard, I think you did a great job. It's probably easier that it's something you wrote, so you know how it's supposed to flow. I would stumble over words and I don't think I'd ever get through a whole story in one take. And I agree - you voice isn't what I expected at all. Where is *your* Texan accent? :p

Thanks so much!

I practiced a few times and recorded a few different versions. On the first recording, I stumbled a few times, and on the second, I tried (and failed) to do accents. The third one was pretty good, I thought. ;-)

Where is *your* Texan accent?

LOL! I grew up in the Appalachains, and so I had a pretty thick accent as a child. When I was a teemager I was very involved in community theatre and school music and drama, and through that I learned how to speak with a more standard accent. It was something I worked really hard at because at the time, I wanted to be an actress. I went to college on the west coast and lived there for several years, so that helped me lose the accent completely. I've only lived in Texas for a few years and I live in a city, so I don't come in contact with people with thick accents very often. "Y'all" has creeped back into my vocabulary, but the only time I really get my southern twang back is when I visit my family!

Okay, that was probably more than you wanted to know, huh? :-P
