This link is probably making the rounds now. I'm glad Ralph Fiennes has a good sense of humor about it, but it still makes me really uncomfortable when slash fandom is shoved in the actors' faces like this.

They know it exists, and we know they know, but they pretend they don't know and we pretend that they don't as well, because that fandom 4th wall is seriously there for a reason. Maybe it's different if you write/read RPF, but when I'm writing fic, I'm not really thinking about the actors at all. As far as I'm concerned, they're just contributing an interpretation that generally adds to my own. I don't really picture the actors when I read or write erotic fic -- even when they're really pretty, my head versions of them are a bit distorted from reality. So yeah, this kind of thing just... *shudder*

My 4yo is currently running around the house singing Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend" at the top of his lungs. He seems to know all the words. ALL of them. I blame Heidi.

Okay, fine, so it could be because I've watched that vid about a hundred times in the last few days. STFU. ;-)
