GLBT rights resources
Oct. 28th, 2005 12:55 pmThe Human Rights Campaign is a great organization that promotes GLBT equal rights. If you aren't on their mailing list or a member, you should consider it, because it's a great way to get involved in these important human rights issues.
They have an interesting new interactive resource for talking about GLBT issues with family, friends, and co-workers. There are some good ideas there for responding to comments people might make. They make it sound a lot easier than it is, of course, but it's still an interesting read.
They are promoting it with an ad campaign called Tom, the Token Gay Friend, and they have a selection of the ads on the website. They're pretty funny and feature a guy trying to engage his straight friends in conversations about GLBT equality issues -- and failing miserably. They're kind of fun to watch. :-)

Date: 2005-10-28 07:22 pm (UTC)On a different note, I remember you posting about doing p0rn research. I ran across a site that has some of the most amazing stuff on it. You have to pay for the movies but you can still see pictures and man... @.@ (and I mean that in a good way.) Let's just say I paid.
If you want to know about it I can post you a link here or email it to you. I'm not one to pimp this kind of thing usually.
Hope things are going ok for you sweetie.

Date: 2005-10-29 03:25 am (UTC)Yes, things are good right now. I've let go of some stuff that was causing me a lot of pain (let go for a few months, at least -- I should post an update elsewhere on that) and I'm SO much happier for it. :-)
Thanks for asking!

Date: 2005-10-29 03:43 am (UTC)Maybe I should have Emma announce it, since there seem to be San Antonio folk on her list. Emma, you want to announce it?
