In case you haven't seen it, starrysummer has a great post going where people can post their fandom wishes for themselves. It's interesting to read, because people are being very honest about their insecurities. That takes a lot of courage to do in public, and I admire them for it. One thing a lot of folks are posting is that they wish someone would just notice them. So here's an attempt to rectify that.

Comment here and fangirl or fanboy one person who may not know how much you admire and adore them for their art, fic, reccing, meta, or whatever. Do it for someone who really needs to hear it, not someone who already knows you love them. You can do it anonymously if you like. :-)

ETA: And while we're all about the luv, themostepotente asks who you have a fandom crush on. ;-)

I have so many people I'd love to fangirl! However, there are two artists that are amazing beyond words to me...

kidenart is a wonderfully talented artist. Her art is bold and wonderful.

The other is tiredofwired. Another wonderfully talented artist that deserves so much recognition.

Okay, I wasn't sure what to do for this. So many people I could pick, but one that I never seem to have the right words for is atdelphi. I know for certain there's one fic I've never been able to find the words to appreciate, so maybe I should give it a try.

As Seen on a Beltane Eve is probably my secret favourite fic ever. It's only secret because I love it so much I almost hate to share it, because when I read it, it's mine :)

It rolls and swirls and draws you in, with sounds and sights and smells, and if you have any, I mean *any* love of fairs, carnivals, nights outdoors when there is magic in the air, or the feeling of the seasons changing under you and all around, you might like this. My love for it goes so much further I still don't have the words,even though I'm trying hard :)

So, atdelphi, I will try to find the rest of the words I need to appreciate this fic so I can add it to my recs journal.

Let's see well prestonsbarr knows how much I love her, but she is my heart is this fandom. Always positive and bubbly and I simply adore her for her ability to always make me smile. :D

charlotteschaos, even though well known, is still extremely under appreciated imho. Snarky, loving, and brillant fics. She is my one stop for all H/D needs.

eriador117, has awesome Snarry smut. I never comment enough, but I'm reading and loving it!

leelee_potter has the BEST Snarry story ever. Death Eater Takes a Holiday is my obessesion.

I wish that angel_wicked was still around here, I miss her like mad.

And finally chanond, her quirky fics, and snarky personality always make me smile and laugh. She's awesome.

I read over at starrysummer's post. You severely underestimate the quality of your fic, Emma. Regardless of being well known or not, LMH and STG are both astounding fics. I adore them. And I might adore you now as well,but it was your fics first, not the other way around. *hugs*

There are just soo many people in this fandom who I admire so much-wreckplunderer springs to mind for her fabulous Time of the Turning fic, and nivella, not only because she's one of the most awesome people ever, but her Hermione pr0n killed me ten times over. son_of_darkness too, because Mine Angel to Testify was one of the most beautiful fics ever, and he constantly recs fabulous pieces of art. There are probably more that I could mention but I think I've rambled long enough ^^;;

I'm just going to blanket on love, because when I get into naming specific people, someone ends up feeling left out, which is never my intent, but intent and outcome are rarely coincident.

I love the gals of vanillaskyychat. Even the ones who don't think I do. Maybe especially them. When I go quiet, it's for a variety of reasons. Believe me, when I'm irritated, you'll know about it first thing. I'm not the most subtle of people.

And though I moan, I do love hogwarts_bound and the_leaky. There's often kerfluffle where rp is concerned. Getting together to forge a common goal often causes ruffled feathers. I know what I'm getting into when I sign on to play, even if I do grumble when tempers flare.

I'm going to send out special lovins to swtjemz, gala_apples, alittlewhisper and myrafur as I think they got a bit knocked around lately in general and they just don't deserve that. Mistakes happen, and we all say things in anger we regret. I of all people know that. *smirks*

The rest of you should know I love you, and since this is about showing love to those who might not know, that's what I'm doing.

Most of the people I fangirl like mad already know it (sabershadowkat, lovely_slyth, glockgal, fiendling, djin7, lillithium, nautibitz, and belleweather hover at the top of my mind), but there are actually a couple of people that after much thinking and processing, I realized may not know that I fangirl them like mad. So, here's the short list ...

- thetreacletart writes wicked fic and it doesn't matter who it is, it's wicked and good all at the same time. I once marked in bellefic that someone needed to get her to stop writing Snupin so that I would stop reading it, darnit! Anyway, having met her briefly at TWH, she didn't seem to realize how good she is, SO, she's good, she's great ... and I fangirl her and I don't give feedback as much as I should.

- sherant is an amazing artist. And, I know that everyone else says so and tells her all the time, but I realized that I hadn't fangirled her or even recced her on bellefic because I figure everyone else is too busy being her rabid fangirl, so there ya' go. Amazing, I tell you, amazing!

And last, but not least ...

- emmagrant01 doesn't seem to know it, but her piece Left My Heart does get mentioned in the same breath as Transfigurations and Tissue of Silver ... frequently by me, but I've heard it from others. Now just finish Surrender the Grey so I can read it, already. {grins}

I adore Emma Grant like no other. There are times I wish she had been the author of Harry Potter so that H/D can be a reality, and a lovely reality it would be! People constantly tell me what I great writer I am, but I pale in comparison to her. The dedication that goes into her writing is jaw-dropping. I can't get a full story out of my imagination if it kills me.

1) I'll start with the most obvious: emmagrant01 I first found you through QAJ. I loved the story, the plot (yes there really was one), the writing and, yse, the smut. And yet, I cannot tell you how glad I am that you guys fell behind in your writing schedule because that was what sent me to the hunt for contact info which led me to your (and jedirita and clara_swift's) livejournal.

You are not only an incredible writer, you are a truely wonderful, sweet and generous person. I am honored to have you as a friend and all aflutter at the idea of shareing a room with you at Lumos next year.

2) Again, an obvious step from the previous item: jedirita. Rita, you were another QAJ find. Again, you are a wonderful writer, but the reason I fangirl you so heavily is because of who you are. Your dedication to your ministry and your clear, pure, non-threatened and non-threatening faith is a true example of Christianity in this frightening world of zealots and idiots masquerading as "Christian". Have you registered for Lumos yet? 'Cause I'm looking forward to sharing with you too.

3) Here we get to someone who might be forgiven for not knowing how great I think she is. clara_swift. Clara, I have been horrible at commenting recently, but I am avidly following The Truth Within and all of your stories re: the masters and mistress Swift. Renton is absolutely adorable (I'm sure Begbie is too, but I don't recall seeing pictures of him recently). You live way too far away for it to be likely that I will swing by your house for a chat, but I would really love to meet you in person sometime. If you are ever heading to CA, let me know. You have a place to stay in Santa Barbara if you ever want.

The next several people on my list are in pirates fandom, are unlikely to see this and really should know how much I love them and all the reasons why so I will just list them: fabu linaelyn monkeypuzzle doolabug hija_paloma pir8fancier firesignwriter gryphons_lair fairestcat marinarusalka juniper200 and a bunch of others who are my pirate crew and absolutely essential to my mental health.

Got it! Although, I think I kind of confessed my fangirling the other night. I secretly fangirl your friend charlotteschaos. I've had a quote from her hilarious Snarry parody on my UI page forever. I was actually really nervous to be in Vanilla Skyy with her. She's like a celebrity. Plus, she's friends with Emma Grant!

Good God, I am like queen of the dorks.

I also secretly fangirl anise_anise. Her fiction is to die for. Hands on Experience...GAH! She's utterly brilliant. She's another ljer who is like way up there on a pedestal and I'm sure she doesn't know I feel this was, because she doesn't even know me.

And then there's rosesanguina I don't know a whole lot about her, but just for her fics Wordplay and A Routine Intervention, alone, I fangirl her. Brilliant beyond!

I also (and I don't think she really knows it so much) fangirl underlucius. I always thought she was like one of the uber cool...brilliant and just so out of my league. I recently friended her and have discovered that while, yes, brilliant and miles above me, she is a very cool and friendly person.
