Let's fuck with the homophobes!

jedirita's journal. Go vote in their stupid poll, and then pass it on.
Dear friends,
My local Clear Channel-controlled media outlet is doing one of those stupid online polls on the proposed state constitutional amendment that would define marriage as only "one man and one woman."
If you want to participate in a largely meaningless but fun act of sabotage, please go to http://www.woai.com and vote NO in their instapoll "Do you support the gay marriage ban?"
Avast ye! Prepare to be boarded! Arrrr!!!
--Jedi Pirate Rita
PS If you are a registered voter in Texas, please vote AGAINST Proposition 2 on November 8. Voting in an online poll means nothing. Voting in an election counts.
ETA: It was 65% for when I voted, and now it's only 61% for! We rock, y'all. Oh, and because it isn't clear, this is a very conservative website running the poll. We're just trying to fuck up their results. ;-)
ETA 2: Now only 56% for!!! God, I love fandom!
ETA 3: 54%! Mwahaha. Not much further, and we'll be the majority!
ETA 4: They took the poll down and I can'r find it -- of course, it was 50.5% NO by then. Mission accomplished, folks! *grins*

Date: 2005-10-13 11:04 pm (UTC)I would like to say I can't believe people can still be so stupid, but unfortunately, I can believe it.
What is wrong with everyone? It's not like anyone's going to force them into a gay marriage just because they're allowed. What are people so afraid of?
Get over it!

Date: 2005-10-13 11:17 pm (UTC)You know what... that's where people should really screw with 'em. Marriage could be 'one man and his car.' Or 'one woman and her Kitchen-Aid mixer.'

-crosses fingers that WOAI is a predominantly conservative channel, thus giving biased results-

Date: 2005-10-14 02:26 am (UTC)p.s. voted NO as well. I almost screamed when I saw how many were for the ban. They don't want to allow anyone to be happy unless they can be happy too; someone needs to go give them a hug. ^^
