Mwahahaha!
Sep. 30th, 2005 08:05 pmIn direct defiance of God's law, I am having mussels in white wine for dinner. Who's going to hell with me?
Thanks to
wook77 for the link. ;-)
ETA: Because it doesn't seem to be clear, that website is a joke.
Oh, and another reason I'm going to hell? The first picture on this page. I'll start making room in my handbasket now for the rest of y'all...

Personally, I think the idea of a god hating anything, be it shrimp or +10% of the human (and animal? ... but I heard one of the penguins ditched the other for a female) population. Why can't we all just get along and stop seeking to impose our wills on others?no subject

Date: 2005-10-01 02:07 am (UTC)I have issues with the Bible, period. Yes, I can see how it's cozy for some to have a history of ~2000 years of (ill-translated) useage with which to comfort themselves, but really, there are several more worthy books I'd like to chop up chapter by chapter and sentence by sentence to study and live by. Several more worthy fic, as well. Although, now that I've typed that, none of them come to wit. ..... Hmmmm. On the topic of gay rights... The fairly recent YA novel, Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan.
Being able to speak with familiarity on many things and ways of thought is much more preferable to being able to repeat verbaitm the words of a single book... And yes. The cherrypicking that goes on reduces even the small merit of the latter triumph.
