Interview!

1. *ahem* So. Tell me. When are you going back to work on Untitled? Hm?
*coughs* Well, that's a good question! I've been stuck on it for a while, not to mention distracted by other things... I do fully intend to get back to it at some point, and having people ask me about is certainly motivational! I have a lot of the story worked out in my head, but I'm not sure if it's going where I wanted it to. I should sit down and re-read it, and see what happens!
2. For whatever reason, you're going to be dropped on a desert island. You're given a solar operated laptop ahead of time. What do you load on the hard drive? 10 gig limit.
Oh, it would have to be as many long fics as I could possibly download from MA, Azkaban's Lair, and Ink Stained Fingers. Everything ever written by
jedirita,
nimori,
gloriana,
helens78, and other authors whose names escape me at the moment. And all of QAJ, of course! And I'd have to leave some room on the hard drive so that I could write my own stuff, because reading fic just makes me want to write more. Would I have a wireless internet connection so that I could post what I write? Probably not...
3. Music! Favorite kind?
Can I say everything? About the only kind of music I really don't like is 70s adult contemporary, mostly because it reminds me of when my parents split up when I was a kid. I have a soft spot for 70s/80s hard rock, though. Love Kiss, Metallica, and Sammy Hagar, even though I was too young to even be aware of some of those bands when they were originally popular.
4. You've just arrived at Disneyland! Where do you go first?
Oh, yes! Space Mountain, baby! Yeah!
5. And just how on earth did you discover slash?
Quite by accident, really. I was ignorant until a little over a year ago. After AotC, I read through all the prequel SW profic there was, and needed more. I bought a copy of the SW fan mag and one of the letters to the editor said something about fan fiction. I was intrigued, so I did a search on the internet, and almost immediately found a lot of NC-17 Luke/Mara stuff. This made me extremely happy, since I'd spent some time writing Luke/Mara stories myself several years earlier! It was a surprise to find so much fanfic out there, because I thought it was just this weird thing *I* did, you know? I continued searching for TPM-era fic, and kept seeing this header "SLASH", and had no idea what it meant. So I read a slash fic. It was some sort of BDSM thing, and I nearly choked on my coffee. It squicked me, and I didn't finish reading it. But the Qui/Obi pairing was firmly planted in my mind, so I kept looking for more genteel fics. (More than a year later, I'm nearly unsquickable, btw!) I kept reading, joined the MA list, and then I started writing. My first fic was "The Moonflower Festival", and I had no intention of writing slash when I started it. That was going to be a gen story. But the more slash I read, the more the story just went that way, and before I knew it, I was writing graphic m/m sex scenes. Then I met
helens78, and the rest is a blur!
