Oh, it's so good so be online again! I'm not quite home yet. I'm sitting in the airport in Zurich at the moment, actually, waiting for my fourth of five flights to get home.

What's all this tagging stuff about? Geez, only three weeks away and everything changes... ;-)

Gotta luv those airports. Things that have happened? UL21, The Big Bang, Baby Challenge, Reversathon fics getting posted, and seemingly lots of other fic, although it's really felt quite dead on line. Lots of things promised before HPB - and of course, much speculation.

But honestly, I don't think you've missed anything as much as a lot of people have missed you. Hope you've had a wonderful few weeks - have a great flight home, and look I forward to seeing you around again! *waves*

ps. I'm sure tags are good, as lots of people seem to be embracing them, but I'm still not sure what the hell they do... *g*

The tagging thing? Tags are used to categorise all of your journal entries. Like LJ memory keywords. I went tag-crazy when I came back.

Welcome back!
Tagging is basically using keywords to identify your entries. Um. I don't find them as useful as the 'memory' tool, personally. Let's say you tag all your StG entries with ..."StG", when you post a chapter with that tag, and someone clicks the tag, all the entries tagged with that (ie, all the chapters), will be brought up. Useful if one can find an entry with the tag quickly. Not so useful if they can't.
I'm crap at explaining things.
