A lot of Brits do that when they do American accents. They get that it should be further back in their mouths, but they tend to move it into the nose too.

Awesome! I've heard nothing but good stuff about this performance, which is cool as (until I read these comments -- *squidges your flist*) I thought I was the only person who liked Elvis anymore. :D Can't wait until it comes out on DVD; I'll have to rent it. :)
