Life isn't fair. One of my favorite ships finally becomes canon, and then one of the pair fucking dies.

Still, I have to hand it to JW. She is the ONLY profic Star Wars writer who has allowed the characters to have real feelings and relationships. If I didn't know better, I'd swear she was one of us. I hope she would consider that a compliment.

Here's to you Jude: You made me cry like a baby, and I've NEVER done that for a Star Wars pro novel before.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for Siri.

Now excuse me while I go cry myself to sleep...

Well, that will be corrected in just a few days. *waits for package!*

Eh, that's okay. I've spoiled a book or two in my day. ;P

Whee! Package with book is here! :D And now that I've read the jacket... wah! I don't want to read the book. I hate depressing things. :(

I lied. Off to read.

*sigh*

Er... this refers to one of the Jedi Apprentice books? I had given up on these long ago...

It's actually a standalone book, though it's written by the author of JA. I really, really love her work!

This is so very true. Jude made me like Anakin again after I started to hate him in AOTC. Plus the lovely intereation between Qui/Obi and Siri/Obi among other characters. And as [livejournal.com profile] jedirita mentioned in my LJ about Secrets, Jude took the 'no attachement' rule seriously without turning the Jedi inot emotionaless people.

Jude also ripped my heart out with Siri and Obi-Wan in Secrets not only with Siri's death but with her and Obi's parting as padawans.

I think JW is a genius. I really, really love what she did with the Obi-Ani relationship in JQ! And you're right that she found a human way to handle the "no attachments" rule. I'm going to wait until next week, but I really want to discuss this on the Siri Tachi list!
