Ooops! Several people have commented that thay couldn't access the second LMH sequel cookie, and I just realized that's because that post was f-locked! :-P
So here it is. (It's really short!)
He didn't have to ask about the bracelet, of course. He missed its weight on his own wrist, its reassuring smoothness against his skin. It had been a constant reminder that his mother, somewhere deep down, had cared for him. Now it was just a reminder that he cared for Harry -- far too much. He was tempted to look at Harry again, to see if that feeling was mirrored in Harry's eyes. Draco closed his eyes instead.

Date: 2005-02-10 05:43 am (UTC)Actually, I had this vision of Harry walking out into the street with Draco after the end of LMH, and getting halfway to the restaurant, and then collapsing onto a bench - as it all caught up with him, and having Draco there with him, etc., It was totally my moment, but it was born of the incredible places you'd taken them through in the story.
I know your RL is giving you gyp, and I've already gushed about why I'm so waiting for the next one, so just *hugs to you* for making them what they are, and for giving me so much pleasure. : )

Date: 2005-02-10 06:18 am (UTC)I like. You say so much with just that one paragraph. Here's hoping Harry will get Draco something to replace it with.
So, is it ready yet? We're dying out here.
aaawwww
Date: 2005-02-10 11:13 am (UTC);-)
i´m just re-reading LMH to prepare myself for the sequel *bounces*
(and sure thing it has to be different from LMH, which is a good thing-probably for hermione and manny as well?) ;-)

Date: 2005-02-10 06:29 pm (UTC)I was thinking.
Yes, I love fics where H/D get together. All the overcoming of prejudices, getting over denial, realize they care about each other, striking up a relationship at last...
*dreamy eyes*
They are what makes me all fluffy inside after yet another hard day in RL.
But I love even more fics that deal with strenghtening the relationship (we all know that in reality love and lust are nearly ever not enough) where they try to build up something together, find a way to get along and not fight, cross their differences, find a compromise, really understand each other... These are the fictions that really make my day, and give me hope to be able to find my mate out there somewhere.
I mean, if THEY manage it, why the hell shouldn't I?
That's why I look forward to reading this sequel. It's sure to be good. It HAS to be different than LMH. It deals with different issues.
I hope this helped you weakening your fear of posting it. I'm sure many people out there feel like this.
Good luck!
kisses
Jo
p.s. Mmmm... Draco's POV... intriguing...

Date: 2005-02-10 11:16 pm (UTC)just from reading the three short excerpts, this already has such a different feel to it. i absolutely loved LMH and how from start to end it was tensiontensiontension. it totally kept me racing to my computer every tuesday. but -- and this is sort of in response to the last ahhhhhhhh!-what-if-it's-not-good-enough! post -- i wouldn't be expecting or looking for the same in the sequel. it would kind of defeat the purpose of bringing the first part to a close, wouldn't it. trying to write to LMH instead of from it will only pull you in circles. so, i'm sure these words of advice are somewhat paltry after the 8-billion reviews to the original post, but. there you have it :)
oh, p.s. and i'm sure it would never hurt to post a few more excerpts *cough*
