LMH sequel update

First of all, I have to say this: Oh my goodness!!!!
I know I owe an update on my progress with the sequel for LMH. I've been getting lots of emails and comments asking about it, so I decided to post something about it.
I'm going to dump my thoughts here, okay? This isn't a cry for ego-boosting comments, just to be clear. I just feel like I need to explain myself. Y'all have been so very nice to me, and I appreciate it so much!
First, let me apologize for taking so long. I really did NOT intend to string y'all along like this! RL got complicated, and then there was writer's block and some other more personal things that got in the way. And it also just took me a frickin' long time to get the story worked out in my head.
I should tell you that the prospect of posting this fic terrifies me. I'm afraid that it won't live up to LMH (which is a fic I'm quite proud of), and that people will be disappointed by how the story is resolved. The characters are in a different place and a different context than they were in LMH, so it feels different. They're doing different things, and there isn't the same QAF feel to the fic as there was with LMH. For some folks, that might be a good thing. :-P I don't know if it makes any sense, but that fear has been a little paralyzing. I've found myself wanting to write other things, any other things, where there was no stress involved!
What I am happy about is that the characters are continuing to grow and evolve, things are turning out nicely plotwise, and there are going to be some fun twists and turns in the story. My writer's block finally seems to have lifted! Yay!
I really want to post the first draft of the fic as I did LMH, in reasonable chunks once a week. Right now, I have enough of the fic that I'm happy with for three, maybe four posts. I want to be a little further along before I start posting, because my RL is going to be a little crazy for the next few weeks and I don't want to have to leave y'all hanging for a few weeks while I catch up. I'd really rather start posting at a point when I'm sure I can keep up with the writing.
So that's my story. I'm really sorry if people are disappointed, and I'm actually freaked out that the long wait is going to make people even more disappointed when they start reading the story! Nothing like a long wait to raise expectations. *wibbles*
And I'm not sure when I'll start posting, but I'm pretty sure it will be within the next few weeks. I started posting LMH on March 3 of last year, and I will definitely be posting something before that anniversary rolls around.
Again, thank you for your patience and your encouragement! I'm taking my time with this because I want the fic to be as good as I can make it. I hope it will be worth the wait, and I hope there won't be mass defriending if it isn't...
To relieve my guilt, here's a cookie. :-)

"Good, you're up," Harry said from the doorway of the bathroom. "You can shower first, if you like."
Draco felt his lips forming a pout. "I'm not getting up."
"It's half nine."
"So?"
"So we're supposed to be at Hermione's at ten."
Draco closed his eyes and flopped back onto the mattress. Brunch. He'd forgotten. "Do we have to go?"
There was a pause. "She's expecting us."
"She's expecting you. I wasn't invited."
"Of course you're invited," Harry replied.
"The fact that I was standing there when she invited you does not imply she invited me as well."
"She said you two," Harry retorted. His voice had an edge to it. Draco opened his eyes to see Harry leaning against the door frame, arms crossed over his bare chest. "Why would she invite me and not you, in front of you, no less?"
"Because she hates me," Draco mumbled. He was losing this argument, and he would resort to childishness if necessary.
Harry sighed. "She doesn't hate you. She just... hasn't had a chance to get to know you."
"I should go home," Draco said. "Manny's probably worried."
"I think Manny can figure out where you are," Harry replied. "He knew we were going out last night. You told him at lunch, and you said not to wait up." A smile was teasing Harry's lips.
Draco looked at the ceiling. He wasn't going to win this one. Maybe he could turn the situation to his advantage, somehow. "What will you give me if I go?"
Harry made a snorting sound. "My undying gratitude."
Draco rolled onto his side and smiled at Harry in a way he hoped was endearing. "I don't want to go have brunch with Granger and her Weasley offspring, but I'll do it... for a price." He grinned suggestively.
Harry smirked. Draco was growing fond of the expression. "It's always about sex, with you."
Draco affected an innocent smile. "Did I say anything about sex?"

Ha! Actually, what I thought was done, isn't quite so done. I'm shoehorning in some new scenes and even More Plot For Your Slash Dollar/Pound/Ruble/Galleon.
