If you were offered a chance to be on a "reality show" on TV, would you do it?

Yes, I'm asking for a reason... :-P

ETA: Doesn't involve eating bugs as far as I know. They just knocked on my door yesterday. They're coming back today to do a screen test...

To answer your question: Highly unlikely, unless I could be absolutely convinced that it wasn't going to be embarrassing and they weren't concealing anything. Which, given the kinds of reality shows that have been on lately, doesn't seem possible. But I suppose it would depend a lot on the situation.

I'm pretty sure it won't be embarrassing or anything, but my fear is that they always edit those shows to create characters. Do I really want to subject myself to that?

There's about a one in three chance of this happening, then another fairly slim chance of it ever getting aired, so... Not such a huge risk, maybe.

99% sure. They actually came last night for the screen test with me and MDH, set up their little mini TV studio in our living room and all, but their camera wasn't working -- so they are coming back today. We signed a confidentiality agreement with a "major TV network", filled out an application, talked with the production crew, etc. Seems legit.

It really depends.
What's the goal of the show, and is there any way it could be twisted unfairly (what was that American Idol mockery?). What network's going to be showing it -- I think FOX has more of a reputation for nasty embarrassing gotchas than the other channels.
