Certainly this has been explored in great detail in many Snape/Hagrid fics. *g* Although, given that he's supposedly half again the size of your average man in height, if he were proportionally and realistically endowed, he'd still be sporting a smaller package than some of your more fervid ficcers give to human characters.

This is coming from a conversation I had with someone this morning who said she could never ship Hagrid with anyone. It reminded me of another conversation I had with daddybear716 years ago in which he said that among gay men who are into bears, Hagrid actually is a favorite character. I was wondering if anyone here had seen that.

Fandom tends to skew female, and we tend to prefer young, pretty, almost feminine boys to ship. Not that there's anything wrong with that -- we're all here for different reasons, and fantasizing about pretty boys is definitely one of my main interests in fandom. *cough*Karl Urban*cough*

But it's food for thought...

And LOL to your last comment! I've often thought that slasher are all size queens, based on the descriptions of peen in fanfic and fanart alone. :-D

I don't object to his physical appearance, but there's something about Hagrid's personality and role in the stories that makes him hard for me to envision in sexual situations.

But yeah, I have actually wondered this myself. And I've also wondered if JKR first thought about making Hagrid's dad the giant and his mom the human, and then reconsidered. :-P
