i really like twitter, too. i mostly use it as academic networking tool and to blather about television, though, so it's not really a fan(girlish) twitter account.
do you know rhiannonhero? she's one of my oldest lj friends and she's a fan, a writer and a mom and she posts a lot about all three things and the intersections among those three identities. i think you'd enjoy her posts. her lj is flocked, and i don't know what her friending policy is, so feel free to drop her note saying i sent you if you think you might want to read her lj.
