Spanking the monkey -- first thing my mind turns up is that it's a metaphor for masturbation. Can I just tell you how much I do not want to think of Bush the Younger (or any politician) in the same sentence as the word "masturbation"? *cries*
I told Grant last night that I might just give up and vote Dave Barry this year. I talk about doing that every year and invariably vote libertarian anyhow, on the hope that it'll make a difference. Of course, Washington State goes Democrat about as often as Indiana goes Republican (which is to say always). The trials of distrusting all politicians equally.
You know what I need? I need a "patented jedi frown" icon with the caption "He's a politician, and they are not to be trusted..."
