People seem to be bitching about DH spoilers on my flist, so I'll make my obligatory statement: I despise being spoiled, and I definitely won't be spoiling anyone here. I assume that everyone I have friended is considerate enough to put such things under cuts.

OMG, only 44 days left until Deathly Hallows!! I need to get to work on re-reading the books. :-P

Thank you for that statement. Some idiot posted a (whatIthinkis) fake page from DH on the harrydraco comm and I got all pissed off about it for an hour or two. Then I noticed that yeah, it was probably fake and calmed down.

But I don't get people who like to be spoiled. Hello? What's the fun in that?

I know there are people who like to read the last page first, and that's fine for them. But it's not fun for me at all! I was spoiled for Sirius's death when I read OOTP, and it significantly affected my enjoyment of the book. I avoided spoilers for HBP and it was much better.

Ah, fake spoilers. I'm sure it's only the beginning. :-P

Oh, believe me, I'm not logging on til I finish, and any discussions that I have will be under a cut with huge spoiler warnings. I still haven't forgiven Jay Leno for spoiling The Crying Game the day before I got to see it, can you imagine the impact I would gotten without that?

I know I was one of those people today, but I hadn't realized it was an epidemic! Lol. I just really don't like being spoiled, and especially not with something that has been such a huge part of my life. Mostly though, it's the HP comms I'm gonna stop watching b/c on most of them there's nothing that's stopping Random Joe Blow It For Everyone for posting something real on there.

I have had it happen before with other things. Someone spoiled Fight Club for me. There's just no way that movie is the same to watch when you know what's actually going on the whole time. I'm still pissed about that.

I got spoiled for The Crying Game by a friend, though ironically I would probably never have watched it without that spoiler. Heh.

I hope to be at Sectus when the book is released, so staying offline won't be a problem. But if I'm home, I'm not sure what I'll do. Maybe I'll organize an all-night reading party so I can be around other folks anyway.

Well, I am usually logged into this journal more often but for the longest time I was trying to keep the 'fandom' journal and the 'photo/rl' journal separate. After PR with the new fandom friends that all kind of went to hell, so I finally decided to just deal with it and move everything here where I'm at least actively posting.

*breathes* I'm sure that's more explanation than is actually necessary. Hehe. :P

it's funny cause... i know there's 44 days left. there's a huge stand up poster of harry with countdown days in front of the customer service desk. (we had to put it there for fear of people stealing the countdown dates -.-;;)
