Dixie Chicks!

The concert was awesome! I never did find someone to go with me, so MDH came as soon as his business dinner was done (which was why I had an extra ticket in the first place) and caught the last two songs and the encore. The seats were amazing, and the crowd was fantastic, and the Chicks were in great form. Natalie made some great cracks, as always, including some about the paparazzi pictures of Britney Spears's snatch. ("I didn't even know she had a c-section!") The crowd gave them a long standing ovation after "Not Ready to Make Nice", and they were visibly moved by it.

As good concerts often do, it all went by way too fast.

I took these with my cell phone, so they're horrible, but you can at least get a sense of how close I was. :-D














And on a completely separate note: I HAVE TICKETS TO SEE EQUUS ON APRIL 16!!! MDH is already teasing me about the possibility of getting a glimpse of "Harry Potter's wand". :-P

I have started a comm for Equus-goers - equus_07. Not too much happening there at the moment, but I expect it will heat up more as showtime gets closer. Epecially for those who are traveling to London from other areas, I wanted to have a forum to talk about lodging, etc, as well as the play itself (and Daniel Radcliffe).

Oh, and somehow I don't think my husband is aware that DR will be naked in this production... otherwise I would have heard similar "wand" jokes. He's already teasing me about how crazy it is to fly across the Atlantic for this.

I have tickets for Equus too--a few weeks before you, though. I did some hard thinking about the purity of my motives and decided I'd love to see Dan in his stage debut, and that I'd go even if he was like the second singing boy in Oliver or something!

Hee! And yes, it's great to see actors you really like on stage. I've made trips like that to New York to see all sorts of stars, including Liam Neeson, Idina Menzel, and Christian Slater, and even went to London to see Ewan McGregor in Guys & Dolls -- and there wasn't any nudity in any of those. Though it isn't like there's a shortage of Ewan McGregor nudity in the world anyway... ;-)
