Okay: if you join a holiday fic exchange and request a ridiculously rare (and for most people, squicky) pairing, and then drop out at the very last minute, after someone has gone to the trouble of creating said gift for you, which now no one else in the entire fest (or possibly, fandom) will want? There's a very special level of hell waiting for you.

Unfortunately, no. What I've done in the past is just not post the fic with the weird pairing, which I've been told is the wrong way to approach it. Can you give it to someone else? A pinch hitter maybe, who deserves a second fic?

Our pinch hitters are good folks, and I think at least one of them would have enough of a sense of humor to appreciate the pairing. I feel bad for the person who created it, though. I mean, that pairing was seriously a lot to ask of someone. :-P
