Yes, I think it's just going to be a different experience for me, and that's okay. In some ways, it's better for the way I tend to consume fandom. ;-)
yes, the premise was cheesy, but then so much of BTVS could be called that. It's the way it's handled that makes it a great show.
I think that's a good point. That's been true of a lot of episodes, as evidence by me trying explain them to my husband. I'll say stuff like, "And then this vampire called Spike tried to bite Willow, but he couldn't do it and they made a big joke out it about him being impotent and then it turned out he had a chip in his head that was planted there by the Initiative, basically the US government, so he can't bite people anymore but he can hurt other demons and..." And then he'll be looking at me like lobsters are crawling out of my ears, just as I realize that all of this sounds really stupid out of context.
