I still think it was just that the writers didn't know how else to deal with it. I mean, it's not like there's a set logic to alternate universes that you can check your storyline against. It's bound to look different from the perspective of the person who was switched from one universe to another (Cordelia, Jonathan) than it does from the perspective of those living in the alternate universe. And so does that mean Anya lived in a lot of parallel universes at once?
I guess I'm saying that I don't think it's immportant if it doesn't make sense, heh. ;-)
