The haunted house coming to life was interesting, and I found myself wondering how that episode played outside the US.

In Australia, or at least the part of Australia from whence I hail, Halloween isn't celebrated at all. But growing up I was inundated with American culture, from tv sitcoms to books (man, I was a huge Baby-Sitters club fan...) to the point where Halloween is a holiday as familiar to me as Easter. And this isn't just the case with Halloween either, Thanksgiving, July 4th, a "white" Christmas, I think I could easily describe all of these events even though I've never actualy actually in them. (Christmas is the worst actually, a typical Christmas where I grew up was at least 30 degrees celsius which makes a hot meal out of the question. Salad and a bbq has always been the norm, followed by a trip to the beach, yet whenever I drew Christmas pictures as a kid I always drew snow and whatnot..)

Woah. Way to go off on a tangent. Sorry! This kind of cultural stuff just really interests me, although 'm not sure my thoughts on the matter make a lot of sense. I think I might have answered your question in a round about kind of way...

And can I just say, I can't wait until you watch the sixth season of Buffy. (Don't worry, no spoilers here). That season was... Man. I can't wait to hear your thoughts.

And now I'm going to leave you alone.
