Wow! I didn't even know about this! Had to track it down right away!
Ya know, after finally caving in and reading your HP recs, it got me in the mood to read the Real Things again. So I've spent November rereading books 3-5, and just finished last night Yes, it's true JKR is not the finest writer in the world (I guess all this betaing makes the flaws stand out.) And she employs too much Matrix-style stalling dialogue, and the endings could stand to be tightened up, IMO, but who really cares? She tells a damned gripping story. The earlier books read differently, of course, knowing what happens in book 5. Argh! Please don't let it be three years until the next book comes out!
I have to say that after Movie 2, I really am not that excited about the films. Movie 2 was just too literal, I guess -- just made me want to read the books instead. But Alfonso Cuaron is a great director. He did "A Little Princess," a movie which I adore (even if they STILL have Sara's father be alive at the end.) So of course I will see movie 3, and i'm even slightly excited about it. But I'd much rather read Book 6.
As for the trailer: You *LIKE* Draco's new look?!?!? Is that even the same kid? For that matter, is Neville played by the same kid? He looks so different. (Neville! My hero!) Black looks cool, but I had to hunt elsewhere for a pic of Lupin. He's got a mustache? WTF?
So where do you go for your tf.n-style info on the HP movies? The official site is completely worthless.
