I think that some badfic did not get written intentionally to be funny, but fandom in its mercy labels it crack and laughs. Only a few badfics can make the transmutation into crack. Prime example? Star Wars, the bad subtitled version.AKA "The Backstroke of the West" http://winterson.com/2005/06/episode-iii-backstroke-of-west.html which the fandom has fondly taken to its heart and quotes frequently.
