(no subject)

My husband just spent 10 minutes scanning the "A Cure For Boredom" tag on Tumblr, heh. He kept saying, "This is all about your story?" He's not in fandom at all and isn't interested in reading my fic -- he reads non-fiction almost exclusively -- and I think that even after all this time he doesn't really get fandom. He knows I love it and that it makes me happy, and he's happy that I have it in my life and is super-supportive, but I think he finds the whole thing completely bizarre.

And honestly, I don't blame him. It is bizarre when you think about it. But God, I love it so much! I love it when my favorite WIPs update and when I see gorgeous fanart and when a clever gifset makes me laugh and when someone posts incredibly thoughtful meta about their favorite character, and yes, when I post a fic and people comment to tell me they enjoyed it. I love that it's okay to love these things so much here. And I love that my husband kind of gets that, or at least, appreciates that it makes me happy. :-)
