Happy December!
Dec. 1st, 2006 09:00 amFirst, today is World Aids Day. There are 40 million people in the world today who are HIV+, more than 0.5% of the world's population -- and most of them live in extreme poverty. The official site has the code for these virtual red ribbons here, and they have a goal of seeing it posted on 7000 web pages today. We could accomplish that in the HP fandom alone!

Second, it's great to see all the holiday exchanges starting off today! It's so exciting every year, and I love it. After a bit of a dead zone in November, there's suddenly this flurry of amazing things to read and look at. Except that I still owe two of mine, so I'm not going to be doing any reading for another week. :-P In fact, now that NaBloPoMo is done, I need to step away from LJ for a few days and focus on getting those done.
Third, it's COLD here. OMG. *sips coffee*
